The QEII Centre has scooped the gold award for ‘Large Venue of the Year’ at Evcom’s Eventia Awards 2014, which took place on 28 November at London Hilton, Park Lane.

The QEII Centre’s versatility wowed the judging panel, who commended its ability to deliver bespoke event solutions to each and every client. The accolade comes at an important time for the venue, which is successfully repositioning under the direction of chief executive Mark Taylor.


Terry King currently works freelance as QEII Live Project Manager. Her long and varied career has given her an expert technical understanding of a variety of AV matters that has made finding work easy but it wasn’t always so plain sailing. Terry talks about the prejudice she faced at the beginning of her career, how she has seen this improve and why she keeps coming back to work at the QEII Centre.
